A combination RTS and base builder with a brand new kind of enemy, the Calyx are a group of powerful plant-aliens that, left unchecked, quickly spread to control swathes of the map. As the only remaining occupant of an Avaris Corporation deep-space mining vessel, you’ve arrived in orbit around a barren-looking planet. While you’re trying to get over being frozen for more than a century, you’re dropped to the surface as the ship’s AI outlines your Ore mining targets. Build a power network, set up Harvesters and refine Ore before sending it to orbit for Credits. Build walls and turrets to protect your base. Deploy tanks and artillery to push the Calyx back before it gets too strong. Balance your base’s energy requirements carefully to avoid vital defences being down on power. Secure rare deposits to improve your mining and military capacity. Connect to booster buildings for additional power, mining and healing buffs. Will you establish a strong defence, or attack the Calyx before it spreads too far? Dig in and build a massive force, or adopt a mobile and nimble strategy? There are many ways to defeat the different varieties of Calyx. Start your base wherever you like, experiment and develop your styles of play, and learn to cope with different scenarios.
